Book as soon as your school announces senior session dates. Summer dates are our most popular and tend to fill up first. A summer session means more relaxed time with your photographer, easier scheduling for parents who want to come along, and yearbook pose is locked in before the deadline.
You can book your senior session online. You'll select your school, choose your session level, and pick the date and time that works best for you.
Dress code varies by school. Once you pick your school during booking, you'll see your school's specific guidance, including yearbook dress code, cap-and-gown details, and personal-outfit recommendations. When in doubt, bring a couple of options and decide on the day with your photographer.
Yes, we encourage it! Bringing items that represent your interests, hobbies, and accomplishments makes your portraits feel uniquely yours. Popular examples include letterman jackets, future-college gear, sports equipment (basketball, football, baseball bat and glove), team jerseys, cheerleading uniforms, instruments, art supplies, dance shoes, club or ROTC regalia, trophies and medals, or anything else that tells your story.
It depends on your session level. Economy and Basic cover yearbook poses only. Standard adds your cap & gown. Deluxe adds cap & gown plus one personal outfit. Super Session adds cap & gown plus two personal outfits. You're always welcome to bring an extra option to choose from on the day.
Your session price covers your time with the photographer and the photography itself, capturing your portraits and preparing them for you to view. Photos, prints, digital downloads, and packages are sold separately, so you can choose exactly what you'd like once you've seen your portraits.
We strongly recommend a summer session. It's a paid session, but it gives you more time with the photographer, more poses to choose from, plus the option for cap and gown and outfit changes. Students who aren't photographed during summer will be photographed for their yearbook portrait during the school year at no charge. Those sessions will take place on dates to be determined by each school, and cover the yearbook pose only, 2 poses, no cap & gown, and no outfit changes.
Yes. Parents and guardians are welcome at summer sessions. They're a big help with outfit changes, hair, and getting natural smiles, and we have staff on site to help parents view photos, order prints, and answer any questions about packages.
At summer sessions you can view your photos on the spot immediately after they're taken. You'll also receive an email and a text with a link to your online gallery, where you can order prints, digital downloads, and announcement designs.
During summer sessions, Shoob staff are on site to walk you and your parents through the ordering process, viewing your photos, picking favorites, choosing a package, and placing your order on the spot. You'll also receive an email and a text with a link to your online gallery, where you can order prints, digital downloads, and add-ons anytime afterward. Order early to take advantage of discounts and special offers.
Yes! We offer several announcement styles featuring photos of your choice from your session. You can customize the wording, colors, and layout to make them your own. Announcements are available as add-ons when you order your package.
Yes. We coordinate directly with your school's yearbook staff to make sure your senior portrait is submitted on time. You'll have the chance to approve your yearbook pose before it's submitted.
